Does Obedience get you into Heaven?

If disobedience gets you to hell then Obedience has to do with it but Faith is the only thing needed. When Faith is in us so is love, and when love is there then obedience follows.

im starting to think that were just misunderstanding what the other person is trying to sa, but we're both headed in the same direction. What I was trying to say (and I think saying too) is that following the commandments is only possible with God, and not on our own. Like Job - he was blameless, but he feared God also. And God called Job his servant, indicating that he was walking with him, which indicates that the reason that he was able to get to the point of "blameless living" and a commandment abiding life was with the strength that God provided. And thats basically what I'm trying to get at. We can keep all the commandments, but we cant just do it by ourselves, we need God. And its our love for God and the strength that he provides that will make it all possible. But even if we arnt acting out in that love for him yet (even though we should), Jesus came to pay the price for our sins, so that we wont have to worry about the repercussions of the commandments that we broke and the sins that we committed (worry in an eternal sense, not just glad to be getting off scotch free)

ok i see in that case i definitely agree. when i refer to Christians i tend to incorporate the understanding that we all are linked to God through His Spirit which enables us power to accomplish anything. i should assume everyone is thinking that way. but Lady K, i agree with you.
